Systems Approach Framework (SAF) Handbook

One of the main goal’s of SPICOSA is to provide an instruction Handbook demonstrating how to undertake a holistic management strategy for a coastal and marine system.

This section, currently under development introduces this manual and the steps and volumes of the SAF.

The SAF Handbook is divided into four sections. These volumes will give you the theoretical background and tools to identify issues in your system, to interact with stakeholders in your area, to understand the social and economic and environmental components of the system, and to communicate the findings of your management system to decision makers. To support your progress through this sequence, case studies undertaken by members of the SPICOSA project will be used to provide examples through the SAF process.
